Veronica Beard Eyes Managed Growth After Hitting $400 Million

Veronica Beard has reached $400 million in revenue by serving the everyday American woman rather than positioning itself as a high-fashion label, and its founders now say they want to slow down and consolidate.

Sixteen years after launch, the brand run by sisters-in-law Veronica Miele Beard and Veronica Swanson Beard operates 52 stores, 46 in the US and six globally. It has grown from its signature Dickey jacket into a full wardrobe spanning workwear, eveningwear, shoes and belts. Blazers cost around $700 to $800, most jeans stay under $400, and women aged 35 to 50 form its largest customer group.

A Slower Path After Rapid Expansion

The company opened eight stores in 2025 and five more in 2026, including Paris and Kansas City. Miele Beard says the founders are now catching up, refreshing products and sharpening the brand message. Remaining founder-owned and profitable, with minority investors such as Andrew Rosen and Lew Frankfort, the pair say they are not chasing a leap to $600 million. They also see AI-driven competitors catching up, which makes staying focused on product more important.

Since Covid, the business has moved from mostly wholesale to a roughly even split between wholesale, physical retail and e-commerce. Swanson Beard describes the store fleet as a test lab, with shorter feedback loops helping categories such as jewelry and belts take off.

Accessories and International Ambitions

Accessories are the next big bet. The brand hired Cristina Gómez Quintana, formerly of Marc Jacobs and Loewe, to design bags, and the founders expect accessories to become the second-largest growth driver after jackets and blazers. Shoe sales are strong.

Internationally, Veronica Beard now has three European stores, a Harrods presence and its first Korean stockist. The founders say they want to be seen as one of America’s most important global brands, built on word of mouth and loyalty.
