Tamannaah Bhatia Wears Yellow Torani Sari at Vvaan Trailer Launch

Tamannaah Bhatia turned to a vivid yellow sari by Delhi-based label Torani for the Mumbai trailer launch of her upcoming film, The Vvaan: Force Of The Forrest. The actor’s pick adds to a growing festive trend, as yellow has been a favourite this Ganesh Chaturthi, with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Ananya Panday among the stars who have worn the shade in recent days.

A Sari Inspired by Amaltas Blossoms

Named the Sunehra Amaltas Sari, the ensemble is made from lightweight pure georgette and covered in Torani’s signature floral chintz prints. Designer Karan Torani describes the colour as “teekha Basanti”, a fiery yellow modelled on amaltas flowers at the peak of summer. The oversized motifs continue onto the border, which combines embroidered chevrons with lace and kachcha dhaaga resham work.

The pallu carries a chintz-style chakora, a mythical bird from folklore said to be devoted to the moon, perched inside a floral cage. Torani says the bird adds a subtle, romantic note to an otherwise exuberant design. Together, the prints and embroidery give the georgette drape a layered, celebratory character.

Simple Styling With a Modern Twist

Bhatia completed the look with a custom off-the-shoulder choli in raw silk, echoing the chevron neckline seen on the border. Torani says the actor wanted an outfit that felt simple and easy to wear. Stylist Shaleena Nathani added gemstone and polki drop earrings along with a stack of kadas by Sunita Shekhawat and Mahesh Notandass.

Makeup was kept natural and dewy so the saturated yellow and detailed print remained the focus. The standout beauty detail was white mehendi drawn across the backs of her hands, offering a modern contrast to the classic drape.

With festive dressing in full swing, Bhatia’s look reinforces yellow as a dependable season favourite. As the actor continues her promotional rounds for the film, her Torani sari shows how bold prints and detailed craftsmanship can work for a public appearance.
