Gypsy-Rose Blanchard debuts bold new look at New Orleans Jazz Fest
Gypsy-Rose Blanchard rocked her long blonde hair in gorgeous new photos.
Spring Makeover and Festival Fun
Gypsy-Rose Blanchard is stepping into spring with a striking new look and renewed energy. The 33-year-old Louisiana native and subject of Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up shared a stylish photo on Instagram on Friday, May 2, alongside her partner Ken Urker, as the couple headed out for weekend festivities.
Wearing a plunging black halter-style leather-like top, light denim shorts, and white cowgirl boots, Blanchard added a touch of glam with curled long blonde hair and a subtle necklace. She captioned the photo simply with a red heart emoji.
Festival Appearance at Jazz Fest

Later, the couple was seen embracing and smiling at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, known locally as “Jazz Fest.” Both wore dark sunglasses as they soaked in the lively outdoor atmosphere.
Blonde Ambitions Continue
While her new hairstyle appeared to be a wig—given she was recently seen with a chin-length brunette cut during Easter—this isn’t Gypsy-Rose’s first time experimenting with lighter hair. In March 2024, she revealed a frosty blonde look in a selfie, marking a shift from her usual style.
A Year of Transformation
Since her release from prison in December 2023 for her role in the 2016 murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, Gypsy-Rose has undergone a visible transformation. In January 2025, she debuted a sleek bob haircut, declaring a fresh chapter in her life:
“New year, new mom, new haircut, new me.”
That milestone came shortly after she and Urker welcomed their daughter, Aurora Raina Urker, on December 28, 2024—the one-year anniversary of her release.
