Newly released federal data has shed light on compensation packages at Disney, revealing that the entertainment giant pays its technology and finance professionals competitive salaries that vary significantly across roles and departments.

According to the filings, Disney’s software engineering directors command the highest salaries in the tech sector at $230,500 annually, while software engineering managers earn up to $208,000. Lead data engineers take home approximately $191,000, and financial services senior managers receive around $164,300.

When compared to other major technology companies, Disney’s compensation falls within a competitive range but doesn’t quite reach the upper echelons. Meta pays its software engineering talent between $120,000 and $480,000, Google offers approximately $109,180 to $340,000, and Microsoft provides salaries ranging from $82,971 to $284,000.

The data comes as Disney continues to expand its technology infrastructure, particularly around streaming services and digital experiences. The median salary across all Disney employees reached $55,111 in 2024, reflecting the company’s diverse workforce spanning entertainment, hospitality, technology, and corporate functions.
