Colton Lowe lost weight due to bariatric surgery and lifestyle changes.

Last year, Colton Lowe had an epiphany: his body was holding him back.

This guy lost Lowe, 23, thought he was gaining weight, and his health could be in jeopardy, but he wasn’t too worry. Then, in January 2021, he turned on the ignition in his newly restored Ford Mustang and realized a simple truth. He was too big to drive the car safely.

“This car is the final nail in the coffin for me.

The car was his project during COVID and will culminate his time, skill, and passion. But it also catalyzes the former 478-pound. Lowe to make significant lifestyle changes. Through determination combined with weight loss surgery, he has lost more than 280 pounds.

Lowe, a parts salesman at an auto dealership, knows his way around cars. So he and his father worked on a project together, and his father found the vehicle. “It was kind of a father-daughter deal,” Lowe said. Lowe is a former athlete, but as he progres from his football days, he heard more references to his weight from his family.

“It was a tough love, especially from my father,” Lowe said. I kept telling him that I was okay.

After deciding to make drastic changes, he researched fad diets but felt he need surgery to get the results he want.

“I know that surgery will require you to make life-changing changes and habits,” Lowe said. “I don’t mean to be another statistic where someone has surgery and where they don’t. knew I couldn’t screw anything up at that point, so I looked down and said, ‘What needs to be done?'”
