Former WWE Superstar Kurt angle recovers from two knee swap: Long road to go

Kurt Engel, Olympic gold medalist, and former WWE star underwent double knee surgery on Tuesday.

Kurt Engel recovered this week after knee replacement surgery.

The 53-year-old former WWE Superstar posted a video to social media from his hospital bed on Tuesday, in which he discussed his recovery from double knee surgery.

“This is your Olympic hero, Kurt Engle, and I’m in the hospital right now because I just had false knee surgery this morning,” Engle said. “I feel pretty good now, but my leg is numb from the epidural.”

“I know I have a long way to go, and I’m willing to work really hard to get back to before,” he said. “I need to thank all of you for your support, hopes, and prayers for my operation. I appreciate it. God bless you all.”

Engle thanked his fans on Twitter and Instagram, mentioning his recovery from a broken neck at the 1996 Olympics, where he win a gold medal in wrestling. “I realize rehab will be gross, but I’m ready for it,” he tweeted. “If I win a gold medal with a broken neck, I can handle it! Haha. That’s right!!!! Thank you, everyone!!!!”

According to character Four Online on the Sports Illustrated Media Network. Angle first announced that she needed surgery during an episode of her podcast in April.

“My knee is going to change next month,” he said during an episode of The Kurt Angle Show. “Both at the same time, I’m done with that. I’ll use a wheelchair or walker.”

On Wednesday, Angle also posted a photo of the stitches on his left knee.

The former WWE Champion has dealt with several health issues stemming from his wrestling career, many of which he still struggles with today.
