Dua Lipa ‘so sorry to everyone scared’ after unauthorized fireworks exploded at a concert
Dua Lipa said she and her team were “just as shocked and confused by what happened as all of you.”
“Unauthorized fireworks exploded in the crowd during my set in Toronto last night. The 26-year-old singer wrote in a NEWS on her Instagram Story on Thursday. “Creating a safe also inclusive space at my concerts has always been my and my team’s priority. And I am just as shock and confuse by what happen as you are.”
“There is an ongoing investigation into the events that occur, and everyone involved is working hard to understand how this incident occurred. Bringing this show to life for my fans has been an amazing experience, and I am deeply sorry to anyone who has feared. Felt insecure, or whose enjoyment of the show was compromise in any way.” With all my love ‘Two.’
Police responded to the Scotiabank Arena at around 23:42 Wednesday. Amid reports that someone threw fireworks at the end of the show.
Three people going “minor injuries” in the incident, Toronto police told news. The fireworks shocked the audience.
“It was at the end, during their last song, and the confetti was out. So we thought it was part of the finale,” one participant told news. “Nobody was worried about that, except for the guys in the pits, [but it was] terrifying.”
Firecrackers are ban at Scotiabank and the establishment’s website says anyone in possession of them will be deny entry and the firecrackers will be turn over to police.
