Meghan McCain says she is being ‘urged’ to compete in the Olympics four weeks after giving birth.

On January 19, the View alum and her husband, Ben Domenech, welcomed their second child, Clover Jade.

Meghan McCain is speaking out about the body-image issues she’s dealing with after giving birth to her second child.

Meghan McCain, 38, and her husband, Ben Domenech, 41, welcomed their first child, Clover Jade, on January 19. They have a 2-year-old daughter named Liberty Sage.

In an op-ed for The Daily Mail, McCain revealed that she’s been “urged” to start taking Ozempic since having Clover to “melt away the baby weight.”

She began the piece by stating that she had given birth “four weeks ago, and you wouldn’t believe what I’m hearing.”

Aside from the usual questions, McCain said she’d been asked if she intended to compete in the Olympics.

“Excuse me?” she continued before she explained, “In case you’re unaware, there is a craze sweeping the nation: a new ‘miracle’ drug. One injection, once a week, for $1,000, and you’ll be able to melt the pounds away.”

She mentioned that other celebrities, such as Chelsea Handler, have said they use it but were unaware they were on it.

However, Jackie Goldschneider, a fellow reality TV star, claimed that ‘a lot’ of her fellow cast members are on it.”

She later stated that there are “People who are legitimately obese and require Ozempic. But I am not one of those people,” she says, and she is surprised that “casual friends” and “industry acquaintances” exist “have inquired about taking it.

“Let me be clear about one thing. I’m not going to take it. I decline. There is a clear moral dilemma here. It’s difficult to take a drug because swimsuit season is approaching, but others require it to survive. And how can this be good for you?”

She stated that she believes Ozempic is undermining the progress made in recent years regarding body positivity and acceptance.
