Former Tesla CFO enters drone delivery startup Zipline.
Former Tesla CFO Deepak Ahuja would join Zipline’s leadership team as the company’s COO and CFO.
Former Tesla CFO Deepak Ahuja would join Zipline’s executive team. As a chief business officer and financial officer, Zipline declared Friday.
Zipline is a Silicon Valley-based robotics organization that uses drones to deliver deliveries to hard-to-reach areas. Initially focused on medical supplies but expanded into e-commerce and grocery delivery. The company previously partnered with the government of Rwanda to provide medical supplies and handle the distribution of the Covid-19 vaccine in Ghana. According to a press release, it has expanded its operations from three to seven countries in the past two years.
Ahuja was Tesla’s CFO from March 2017 to March 2019 but only joined the company in 2008. He was with Tesla when it go public in 2010 and briefly left the company in 2015.
Ahuja will join Zipline on September 30.
