Robert Irvine Teams With O.A.R. to Support Veterans
Celebrity chef Robert Irvine, a British Royal Navy veteran and founder of the Robert Irvine Foundation, has launched a six-month national tour partnership with rock band O.A.R. The collaboration ties into the band’s 30th anniversary tour and aims to raise money and awareness for veterans, service members, first responders, and their families across 41 tour stops.
A Friendship Turned Fundraising Mission
The partnership grew out of a personal connection. O.A.R. frontman Marc Roberge has served on the Robert Irvine Foundation’s board for several years, and the band has long supported the foundation’s annual Beats ‘N Eats fundraiser in Philadelphia by helping recruit performers. Irvine described wanting to give back by sponsoring the band’s anniversary tour, which will feature two buses wrapped in foundation branding and will host veterans at every show.
As part of the tour, fans can enter a sweepstakes for a chance to have dinner with Irvine and the band on November 12 in Tampa, near the tour’s conclusion. The prize includes airfare, a hotel stay, and a food credit for the winner and a guest.
Decades of Veteran-Focused Work
Irvine’s advocacy for the military spans more than two decades. He has helped reshape how the Army approaches food service, contributing to legislative changes and the opening of new dining facilities designed with input on both menus and layout. According to Irvine, one renovated facility saw daily visits climb from virtually none to thousands after a multimillion-dollar overhaul. He continues this work without pay, saying he is driven by a belief that the effort makes a meaningful difference for soldiers and their quality of life.
