Tomorrow Partners with Japanese Designer Soshi Otsuk
Brand development platform Tomorrow has announced a strategic partnership with Japanese designer Soshi Otsuki, the 2025 LVMH Prize winner. Beginning with the Fall/Winter 2025 season, Tomorrow will oversee Soshiotsuki’s wholesale operations and drive its international expansion. This collaboration marks Tomorrow’s third major partnership announcement in recent weeks, following deals with Roberto Cavalli and New York-based womenswear brand Temily.
Expanding Tomorrow’s Design Portfolio
The partnership strengthens Tomorrow’s roster of innovative designers, including Meryll Rogge, the 2025 Andam Prize winner who recently became Marni’s creative director, and Berlin-based brand Ottolinger. CEO Stefano Martinetto has personally followed Otsuki’s work for years, describing an “immediate, visceral recognition” when viewing the collections in person. Martinetto noted that Soshiotsuki represents exceptional menswear craftsmanship that honors tradition while pushing creative boundaries.
Otsuki’s Vision for Growth
Designer Soshi Otsuki expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, revealing that discussions with Tomorrow began before his LVMH Prize win. After visiting Tomorrow’s showroom, he was impressed by the luxurious atmosphere and Martinetto’s genuine passion for the brand. Otsuki aims to scale the business sustainably, aspiring to present two independent shows annually—a milestone that requires significant growth in sales and operational capacity.
Tomorrow’s strategic shift reflects changing consumer preferences, with Martinetto emphasizing that younger generations favor well-crafted, less trend-driven designs. The company previously relocated operations from London to Milan, New York, and Shanghai in 2022, positioning itself as a leader in supporting independent designers on the global stage.
