Italian Menswear Market Surges at Pitti and Milan Fashion Week

Italy’s menswear market continues its impressive growth trajectory as Pitti Uomo and Milan Fashion Week Men’s prepare to showcase Spring/Summer 2026 collections. The Italian men’s designer apparel market is projected to grow 2.8 percent by 2026, significantly outpacing the women’s designer market at 0.8 percent growth. Despite economic challenges and tariff pressures affecting the luxury sector, these two key events remain vital springboards for contemporary and luxury brands seeking global visibility.

Issey Miyake Steals the Florence Spotlight

Pitti Uomo, running June 17-20, generates particular excitement with Homme Plissé Issey Miyake as official guest of honour. The Japanese brand will showcase at Villa Medicea della Petraia, the historic Medici family villa, alongside an exhibition of its work. Young Tuscan designer Niccolò Pasqualetti and South Korean label Post Archive Faction complete the guest designer roster, reflecting Pitti’s increasing focus on Asian talent. Danish cycling brand Pas Normal will also host a bike ride, emphasizing the fair’s growing performance category emphasis.

Milan Expands With British Menswear Icons
