Pollini Appoints Natalia Battaglini as General Manager
Aeffe Group has announced the promotion of Natalia Battaglini to general manager of Pollini, marking a strategic move to strengthen leadership at the Rimini-based luxury fashion company. The appointment comes as Aeffe, which oversees a portfolio including Alberta Ferretti, Moschino, and Philosophy, seeks to inject renewed momentum into the iconic footwear brand. Battaglini’s elevation reflects the organization’s commitment to continuity and excellence within its valued luxury divisions.
Leadership Experience Drives Strategic Selection
Battaglini brings substantial industry expertise to her new role, having been an integral part of the Pollini organization since 2018. During her tenure at the footwear label, she served as head of style and merchandising, overseeing shoes and leather goods divisions. Prior to joining Pollini, she accumulated five years of merchandising experience at Valentino, one of the world’s most prestigious luxury houses. Her career also includes fourteen years at the Zegna Group, where she worked as a market analyst and merchandiser, providing deep insights into luxury market dynamics.
Academic Credentials Support Brand Strategy
Battaglini’s educational background positions her well for the demanding role at Pollini. She holds a degree in fashion management from prestigious Bocconi University and an Executive MBA from Bologna Business School. Aeffe’s statement emphasized that “Natalia has demonstrated strong leadership, a deep understanding of the brand, and consistently delivered excellent results.” Her appointment exemplifies the group’s dedication to maintaining brand heritage while fostering growth in an increasingly competitive luxury market landscape.
The promotion occurs amid significant organizational developments at Aeffe, which recently sought admission to a negotiated crisis settlement procedure in October alongside Pollini. The group reported consolidated revenues of €155 million for the nine-month period, reflecting a 25.1% decline at constant exchange rates.
