Mick Jagger on Harry Styles comparison: He doesn’t have a voice like mine
“He bears only a superficial resemblance to my younger self.”
Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger has revealed his comparison to Harry Styles. In the Sunday Times, Jagger said he thought the comparisons between him and Stiles were “shallow.” However, his style is often compared to that of the Stones frontman, and he was once rumored to be playing Jagger in an upcoming biopic about his life.
In response to the comparison, Jagger said, “I love Harry – we have a regular relationship,” he said. “I mean, I wear more eye makeup than she does. But come on, I’m way more androgynous. And she doesn’t sound like me or move on stage as I do; she bears a superficial resemblance to my younger self, which is good – it’s not his fault.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Jagger talks about the disappearance of Charlie Watts.
Last August, the longtime Rolling Stones drummer died at 80, setting off a massive wave in music and beyond.
Ager said: “I didn’t expect him to be there when I turned around during the show. But I do think of him. Not just at rehearsal or on stage, but in other ways.
“I wanted to call him and talk about the Arsenal game last night because he supports Tottenham, and I am Arsenal. “Charlie didn’t show up when we went forward and crouched at the end. He would always be the last to fall. So I said, “Come on, what are you doing?” He played with a stick because he always had to set it before getting off the chair.
