Metallica’s “Master of Puppets” climbs the charts after the final episode of Epic Stranger Things season 4
The thrilling finale featuring the thrash metal hit Metallica propelled the song back into the US and UK charts.

After Kate Bush’s 1985 song “Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God)” rocketed to the top of the charts in Volume 1 Season 4 of the Netflix series. The show is doing it with ’80s classics again.
This time, the magic of the show included Metallica’s “Master Of Puppets” as one of the most played songs in the UK and US. The thrash metal hit was included in the show’s final two hours. As part of Eddie Munson’s master song plan to distract from the deadly bats protecting the den of evil villain Vecna. On Monday afternoon, “Master Of Puppets,” the only single from Metallica’s 1986 album of the same name. Peaked at number 12 on Spotify’s US Top 50 and 26 on the Global Top 50. That’s no small feat, especially considering The Whole Tracks—longer than eight minutes.
The group has not officially commented on the song’s growing popularity but retweeted a teaser of the scene, which is getting a lot of love from fans online. Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo, 57, also revealed that his 17-year-old son. Ty Trujillo, helped provide new guitar parts for the song since it was used in the show.
