Johnny Depp’s NFT collection goes up in price after defamation accusations
The Johnny Depp’s NFT collection collection was inspired by Heath Ledger, Elizabeth Taylor, Al Pacino, Hunter C. Thompson, Tim Burton, and River Phoenix, among others.
Actor Johnny Depp’s NFT collection suddenly experienced a giant price spike. This comes days after a jury ruled in favor of Depp on all three charges, finding that Hurd not only made false and defamatory statements but that he had done so with “genuine malice.”
The NFT Depp Near Fear Truth collection launched in late January 2022. Since its launch, it has recorded a total trading volume of 1500 Ethereum. However, after the verdict, the trading volume of the same NFT collection grew and recorded a trading volume of $352,000.
According to OpenSea, NFT Depp has recorded 212 sales since the ruling.
Each NFT sells for an some price of 0.8 ETH. The Depp collection was inspired by Heath Ledger, Elizabeth Taylor, Al Pacino, Hunter C. Thompson, Tim Burton, and River Phoenix.
Interestingly, one of the works contains portraits of his dog, himself, and a character based on his son’s dreams and 607 self-portraits. “Once you own NFT’s Never Fear Truth, you gain access to Johnny’s Discord community. The jury decided that Depp should receive more than $10 million. However, Depp’s victory was not absolute. The jury also find that part of Hurd’s counterclaim was well-founded. They denied two of Hurd’s three charges but noted that he had been framed by Depp’s lawyers, who accused him of shaking up his apartment to make it look worse to the police. As a result, the jury gave him $2 million.
