Google Meet will soon offer integration with YouTube, Spotify, and UNO!
With Google Meet, Android users will soon be able to connect with Spotify, YouTube, UNO!, Heads Up! and Kahoot.
A few days ago, Google started rolling out the Meet Duo fusion for Android and iOS users. As the tech giant works to rebrand Duo to Meet later this year, it looks like the Meet group is working on a some feature that allows users to share content with third-party apps like YouTube, UNO!, Kahoot. and Spotify.
The list also added a productivity tool called GQueue a task manager for teams. As it go out, all of these apps has an icon within Google Meet itself. According to the APK demolition by 9to5Google, the tech giant opted to port Google Meet to third-party apps instead of integrating it.
This means the feature may be limited to Android and not available on iOS and web versions.
Speaking of games like UNO!, there is a high chance that Google Meet will automatically create a new lobby also allow others to enter with a single tap.
However, it’s still unclear how Google will sync all players when it comes to streaming apps like Spotify and YouTube. What’s surprising is that changes will be made to the older version of the app – Meet (Native), which will be removed once the Meet and Duo merging are complete.
Meanwhile, as mentioned above, Google Meet also works with Google’s video calling app, Google Duo, for Android and iOS users. Google has declared that it will merge its Duo service with Google Meet in September this year. However, the update will roll out gradually. So don’t expect to receive it right away.
