Eugenio Derbes had to undergo “complicated” surgery

Eugenio Derbes’ wife, Alessandra Rosaldo, has revealed she has suffered a “sensitive” injury after an accident.

Eugenio Derbes underwent a “very complicated” operation a few days ago after an accident.

On Monday, the Latin star’s wife, singer-actress Alessandra Rosaldo, shared the news in a joint Instagram post. However, he did not supply further details about the Derbez incident.

“He’s fine, but his injury is serious, and he will need surgery in the next few hours. The operation was very complicated but did not endanger his health,” he said in a letter translated from Spanish into English.

“His recovery process will be long and difficult as he will have to rest for a few weeks and then undergo rehabilitation therapy,” he wrote. Rosaldo added that it was important for his family to share the news themselves and that their priority was to take the time necessary to focus on Derbez’s health.

“I have some work commitments that I can’t stop, but I ask all of you lovingly, anything you want to know about this topic, let me know on my social media,” he wrote. “Eugenio will recover and may not be active on social media and media for a while.”

“Thank you for still being close to us,” concluded Rosaldo.

“I know that Eugenio will recover soon with the good energy you all will send us and God’s grace.”

While Derbez is a superstar in Mexico with shows like La Familia P. Luche and XHDRbZ, the actor recently starred in Apple TV+’s Acapulco and this year’s Oscar-winning Best Picture, CODA.
