Kareena Kapoor Khan, Aditi Rao Hydari Lead Week’s Monochrome Style
Monochromatic dressing dominated this week’s celebrity style roundup, as stars in Mumbai, Delhi and Milan committed to a single colour from head to toe. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Aditi Rao Hydari and Diana Penty led the pack with polished, tonal ensembles that showed how restraint can still make a statement.
White and Caramel Set the Tone
Kareena Kapoor Khan wore a custom white shirt and pleated wide-leg trousers by Delhi label 431-88 while filming a new episode of her talk show What Women Want. A black belt with gold hardware, gold earrings and a slicked-back bun kept the look clean and minimal. In Milan, Aditi Rao Hydari attended the Tod’s Spring 2027 show in caramel-brown leather. She paired a relaxed shacket with matching trousers, a slim belt and a personalised top-handle bag.
Diana Penty chose green for designer Manish Malhotra’s 15th anniversary show with the Mijwan Welfare Society. Her bandeau, pleated skirt and sheer stole draped like a pallu were all in one shade, and her green-stone earrings added the only metallic accent.
When Contrast Joined the Conversation
Not everyone stayed strictly tonal. Karisma Kapoor wore an ivory bandhgala anarkali from Rohit Bal’s Dastkar collection, shown at India Couture Week 2026, to an awards ceremony in Mumbai. Its floral jacquard and tone-on-tone embroidery were offset by muted red lips. Mira Rajput Kapoor paired ecru and black in an AKOK corset top and leather skirt with tribal-inspired thread work.
Sharvari, at the same awards night, wore a navy Antithesis dress and blazer set with crisp white pinstripes. Rakul Preet picked a custom red Gopi Vaid sharara with zardozi, sequins and gota work for a festive occasion.
Slicked-back hair also appeared across several looks this week. Whether they stuck to one shade or added a contrasting accent, the week’s best-dressed celebrities showed that a single colour, worn confidently, remains one of the simplest ways to look polished.
