Kanye West’s representative, West Vory, said rapper Donda is taking a year off
Kanye West’s representative “struggles with his gossip,” said rapper Vori when explaining why Kim Kardashian’s estranged husband didn’t attend her album party.
Donda Kanye West’s album collaborator, rapper Vory, said West spent time in music.
The 24-year-old explained to Complex why West, 44, didn’t attend the Vory Lost Souls release party and suggested the fashion star spend time on music while “struggling with his own.
A Kanye West’s representative representative did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
“I just spoke with [Kanye] today. We talked about my best friend, his assistant because he doesn’t want to talk to anyone,” Vori told the publication. He took a year off, saying, ‘Damn, do you think Vori would be mad at me if I didn’t go to her graduation party?’ And I said to myself, ‘No, you’re right, bro. ” “
“He fought with his own… That’s my dog; I learned a lot from him,” Vori added of West.
Vori released her album Lost Souls last Friday, and the 17-song project includes a song in collaboration with West. The song, entitled “Daylight,” was produced by West, E. Vax, Ojivolta, and 88-Keys. The rapper signed to Meek Mills Dream Chasers Records in 2020 and is included on the album Donda West, but the collaboration, which provides for Lost Souls, will not reach the final version of Donda.
“I originally performed at Donda five times,” he told Complex. “And [Kanye] just said, ‘Bru, dammit, we almost have an EP about this.’ So I guess his team decided three times was enough.”
Lori’s comments came as news broke that West had split from his five-month-old girlfriend, Cheney Jones.
The father-of-four with ex-husbands Kim Kardashian and Jones reportedly split after a trip to Japan, according to TMZ.
Jones, a model, deleted all traces of West from her Instagram account, leaving only two photos of her for followers. The couple did not comment on the breakup.
