Al Rocker reveals two simple things he did that helped him lose 45 pounds

The 67-year-old Rocker told Today that he is changing his diet and focusing on exercise, including challenging walks on the show.
“Exercise, not extreme sports – we did this 30-day challenge on foot, which improves your mental health,” he says.
“Combined with a low-carb diet, I have lost about 45 pounds in the last few months. I eat around 100 grams of carbs a day, and that’s it,” Rocker added. Training mode on Instagram. Rocker began revealing his health and weight loss after undergoing gastric bypass surgery in 2001. He lost over 100 pounds after the procedure.
He recently marked the 20th anniversary of the March trial.
“Unbelievable today, 20 years ago, I wore these Levi ’54 jeans for my #gastric bypass weighing 340lbs. Here I am today,” Rocker wrote on Instagram and Twitter. “It’s still a struggle, but I am never going back. I experience failure and struggle every day, but I never forget how far I’ve come.”
Rocker competed in the Brooklyn Half Marathon in May and was awarded a medal by his wife, Deborah Roberts, like soon as he crossed the finish line. The RBC Brooklyn Half, hosted by the New York Road Runners, is a total of 13 miles and starts at Prospect Park, past the Grand Army Plaza via Ocean Parkway to the waterfront of Coney Island.
