Nita Ambani’s Amrapali Necklace Took Months to Craft

For Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at Antilia, her South Mumbai residence, Nita Ambani stepped out in an orange-and-pink Kanchipuram silk sari from Advaya, the label helmed by K.H. Radharaman, paired with a matching orange potli bag finished with tassel detailing. The outfit’s centrepiece, however, was an elaborate necklace by Jaipur-based jewellery house Amrapali that quickly became the most discussed part of her look.

A Four-Month Creation by 14 Karigars

The neckpiece was the result of an intensive collaborative effort, bringing together fourteen master artisans who spent over four months assembling it. Rather than being a single new design, the necklace strung together jewellery pieces collected over many years into one cohesive collar. A traditional temple jewellery-style necklace anchored the centre, while vintage jhumkas, naths, oversized chandbali earrings and passas were woven into the design. Gold jadau, polki, diamonds, coloured gemstones and pearl strings linked the elements together. Notably, actor Sonam Kapoor had worn the same piece back in 2025, styling it with an archival Rahul Mishra Angarakha.

Ambani completed her look with antique round earrings, stacked bangles and a cocktail ring, while hairpins and brooches were tucked into a gajra-adorned choti. Her makeup, in soft pink tones, mirrored the sari’s palette with glossy lips and a matching bindi.
