Pucci Fall 2026 Draws on Siena’s Historic Il Palio Race

Creative director Camille Miceli has moved Pucci into new creative territory for its Fall 2026 ready-to-wear collection, trading the house’s familiar psychedelic hippie-chic aesthetic for a bolder, more graphic inspiration: Il Palio di Siena, a bareback horserace with roots in medieval times, which founder Emilio Pucci had referenced in a 1967 collection.

Research Trip to Siena Shapes the Prints

Miceli and her team traveled to Siena to study the Tuscan city’s historic wards, each with its own emblems and banners, translating that research into prints spanning animal motifs, heraldic symbols, tessellations and irregular zigzags. She applied the graphic patterns to sexy pants, slinky knit dresses and clinging catsuits, while also expanding the collection with quilted satin blousons, regal capes and nubby, fit-and-flare coats. Though little on the runway felt overtly equestrian, Miceli nodded to the vaguely medieval peplum tunics once worn by Siena jockeys, likening them to figure-skating costumes.

A Campaign Built for the Dance Floor

Staying true to her signature disco-inflected sensibility, Miceli said her goal was simple: she wants women to come to Pucci to dress up for a night on the town. That spirit carried into the campaign, shot at Bus Palladium, the Paris nightclub of Miceli’s adolescence, by photographer Carlijn Jacobs, featuring model Grace Elizabeth in shimmering gold Lurex jersey, a fabric that has become a recurring code of her Pucci tenure.

Miceli also drew a connection between the brand’s founder and the race’s aristocratic associations, noting Emilio Pucci’s fascination with high society. The collection rounds out Miceli’s broader identity for the house — one built on glamorous, fun, and irreverent touches like bold jewelry and animal-shaped bag charms — while pushing its print language in a sharper, more structured direction.
