Zendaya Trades Marvel Glam for a Leather-Clad Greaser Look

Zendaya is proving once again that no two press tours look alike. As she juggles promotion for two major releases — The Odyssey, which just hit theaters, and the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day — her style has taken an unexpected turn toward 1950s greaser energy, undeterred by New York’s ongoing heatwave.

A Bold Leather Statement

The actress stepped out in a full leather ensemble: a structured, boxy-shouldered blazer paired with gathered cigarette trousers, a crisp white tee, and pointed pumps. She accessorized simply, wearing her engagement ring and wedding band from husband and co-star Tom Holland. Adding to the reinvention, Zendaya also debuted a wavy, side-swept bob, a departure from her previous bixie cut and the long braided extensions she wore during The Odyssey rollout.

From Grecian Goddess to Leather-Clad Rebel

This edgy new direction stands in sharp contrast to her earlier looks. Stylist Law Roach had previously dressed her in sculptural, goddess-inspired pieces echoing Greek mythology for The Odyssey, and in comic-inspired, Marvel-toned outfits for Spider-Man promotion. The only consistent thread across her recent styling has been her choice of Christian Louboutin footwear.

Off the red carpet, Zendaya and Holland were also spotted enjoying a rare dinner date, with Holland opting for a casual knit-and-jeans look while Zendaya wore a ruffled black Elie Saab dress. Roach has also previewed an upcoming zoot-suit-inspired outfit from Vetements’ menswear line for a future Spider-Man appearance, continuing the vintage-cool aesthetic.

With each appearance, Zendaya and Roach continue to push style boundaries — proving that predictability isn’t part of the plan this summer.
