Paris Fashion Week SS27: Debuts, Third Shows and Louis Vuitton Finale

Paris Fashion Week opens its Spring/Summer 2027 women’s ready-to-wear season on September 28, running through October 6. The calendar lists 68 shows and 34 presentations, down from 74 shows and 37 presentations for SS26. The week unfolds alongside Celine Dion’s Paris residency and Pope Leo XIV’s visit to the capital, making the city especially busy.

Two Debuts and Returning Names

After last season’s historic wave of designer debuts, only two arrive this time. Drew Henry shows his first Courrèges collection on September 30, while Carven’s new design director, Kai Nesselrath, follows on October 1. Alaïa will hold two intimate presentations on October 3, designed by the studio after Pieter Mulier’s move to Versace. Valentino, Maison Margiela, Sacai, Ester Manas, Christopher Esber and Casablanca all return after time away.

Attention will also fall on pivotal third shows from Jonathan Anderson at Dior, Matthieu Blazy at Chanel, Pierpaolo Piccioli at Balenciaga, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez at Loewe, Duran Lantink at Jean Paul Gaultier and Miguel Castro Freitas at Mugler. PR consultant Lucien Pagès describes the season as one of creative directors asserting their visions.

Off-Runway Events and the Finale

Beyond the runways, L’Oréal Paris stages its annual show at the Eiffel Tower on September 28. Dolce & Gabbana brings a re-see of its SS27 collection to its Avenue Montaigne flagship on September 30, the same evening A$AP Rocky shows his AWGE line at Accor Arena. Christian Louboutin presents “Eternal Youth” with Dita Von Teese on October 2, and Zara unveils its first collection with John Galliano on October 1.
