Kidbea Raises $1 Million in Funding for Bamboo-Based Kids’ Clothing

Kidbea, a bamboo-based kids’ fashion brand, has secured $1 million in a pre-series A funding round.

The investment was led by Venture Catalysts, an early-stage investment firm, with participation from Agility Ventures, BestVantage Investments, and notable individual investors, including Sandeep Agarwal and Upasana Agarwal, founders of Droom, and HiroMizushima, a well-known celebrity actor in Japan.

Utilization of Funds for Growth: The newly acquired funds will be strategically utilized by Kidbea to enhance marketing and branding initiatives, expand its team, and optimize operational processes. Additionally, a significant portion of the funds will be directed towards research and development efforts and technology enhancements.

About Kidbea’s Unique Offering: Founded in 2021 by Swapnil Srivastav, Mohammad Hussain, and Aman Kumar Mahto, Kidbea specializes in creating bamboo plant-based, skin-friendly, and comfortable apparel for children. The brand has gained a strong presence on major online platforms and is available in over 30 partnered stores, including those situated in premium children’s hospitals.

Global Presence and Revenue Growth: Kidbea has successfully expanded its global footprint to markets in the UAE, Bahrain, and Australia. The brand reported an impressive 8X revenue growth in FY23, showcasing its rapid market acceptance and strong performance.

Future Targets and Expansion Strategy: Looking ahead, Kidbea aims to solidify its position as a leading brand, targeting to achieve a valuation of Rs 500 crore in the next three years. The strategic allocation of funds reflects the company’s commitment to continued innovation, business expansion, and technology-driven growth.
