Haaland Returns Home With Designer Bag and a Taxidermied Raccoon

Erling Haaland didn’t bring home the Golden Boot from the 2026 World Cup, but he arrived back in Norway with an equally memorable haul. After Norway fell 2-1 to England in the quarterfinals, the striker landed in Oslo carrying a striking mix of high fashion and quirky Americana, delighting fans who follow his playful social media presence.

A Runway-Ready Travel Bag

Haaland is already known for an impressive handbag collection that includes Birkins, Chanel pieces, and Louis Vuitton duffles. For this trip, he chose a Dolce & Gabbana Sicily tote in ecru canvas with burgundy alligator-style trim. Notably, the design had only just appeared on the runway at Milan’s spring 2027 menswear show, meaning Haaland stepped off the plane with a piece barely off the catwalk.

An Unexpected Souvenir From Texas

The bigger talking point, however, was a $750 taxidermied raccoon posed as if sipping from a whiskey bottle, which fans quickly nicknamed “Whiskey Raccoon.” Haaland picked up the unusual item during a stop at a Western-wear store in Dallas, where he also bought a cowboy hat, boots, and a novelty T-shirt poking fun at the city.

Though his World Cup run ended earlier than hoped, Haaland’s trip through the United States clearly left an impression — one blending luxury fashion with offbeat Texan souvenirs, and giving fans plenty to talk about beyond the scoreline.
