Rupert Murdoch and Jerry Hall reportedly got divorced
US media reported that the media mogul Rupert Murdoch and actress Jerry Hall are getting divorced.
For Murdoch, 91, the divorce will be the fourth. Rupert Murdoch Hall, 65, was previously married to Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger.
Representatives of Mr. Murdoch also Ms. Hall, who married in a mansion in central London in 2016, have not commented.
Their breakup took family members by surprise, according to the New York Times.
The newspaper also the Washington Post cited anonymous sources with knowledge of the breakup.
Mr. Murdoch – whose Empire News Corporation controls significant media outlets, including Fox News and the Wall Street Journal in the US and The Sun and The Times in the UK is tell to have devoted more time to his new wife.
During his marriage, the billionaire tweeted that he was “the happiest and happiest man alive” and would no longer post on the platform.
In 2018 his eldest son Lachlan was nominated to succeed him. Mr. Murdoch also sold most of 21st Century Fox to the Walt Disney Company.
The pair have also been seen together in public several times.
According to the New York Times, Hall was spotted “making love” with his partner at his 90th birthday party last year.
The Texas model-turned-actress previously had a long-term relationship with Mr. Jagger, with whom she has four children. The couple married at a Hindu wedding ceremony in Bali, Indonesia, in 1990. However, the marriage was annulled by London’s Supreme Court less than a decade later.
Mr. Murdoch was married to Australian flight attendant Patricia Booker from 1956 to 1967; Scottish journalist Anna Mann from 1967 to 1999; also Chinese-born entrepreneur Wendy Deng from 1999 to 2014.
