Zendaya’s “Major Role” In Dune, Part 2 Is Depicted By Timothy Shalamet.

Deni Villeneuve’s premiere of “The Dune” is slated for this week’s Venice Film Festival (September 3). But the director is already anticipating a future sequel (and even a third installment). Although a sequel has yet to be officially announced, Villeneuve appears to be already working on a Dune scenario Part 2. In which Channy from Zendaya will play an “important role.”
Timothy Shalamet – Zendaya’s “Major Role” plays Dunes protagonist Paul Atrides – has talked about the “big role” Zendaya will likely play in Dune’s second film.
“I don’t know if there’s a script left, but based on the book, with Lady Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson). We have a lot to do together,” Shalamet said in an interview with Deadline. Shalamet continued to praise Dune’s stellar cast (including Josh Brolin, Jason Momoa, Oscar Isaac, and Charlotte Rampling). Saying Zendaya’s arrival “is a breath of fresh air and one of my favorite parts of the film.”
When Zendaya’s “Major Role” took off his mask, he felt very indicative and robust, “he added a Euphoria star.” I hid behind the camera and counted my lucky stars. I was there in the second month of filming, and the total power was here the first time coming in.”

Villeneuve previously stated that he intended to split Dune’s source material. Frank Herbert’s 1965 book of the same title, into two parts because of its epic and complex story. “I don’t agree with the adaptation of this book with one film,” he said. “This world is too complicated. This is a world that takes its power in the details. “
This seems to be why the director of Blade Runner 2049 feels only “half satisfied” with David Lynch’s adaptation. In the unfortunate 1984 film, the studio packed nearly 600 pages into a two-hour chunk, which Lynch hated so much that his name was eventually removed from the credits. “I’m a big fan of David Lynch; he’s the master,” Villeneuve said. “But his opinion … there are parts I like and other elements I’m not comfortable with.”
Shalamet is working on his next film, in which he plays the young Willie Wonka in the prequel “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.” She will also star as Taylor Russell, Chloe Sevigny, and others in Luca Guadanino’s upcoming film Cannibals, Bones, and All.
