In an interview with Glamor, UK, published on Thursday, the two-time Emmy nominee reflected on his decision to shave his head two years. After releasing his 2010 debut single “Whip My Hair.”

“Whatever I feel, I like to do it. I do not like to think about it,” she said of her style preferences. “I like being free with her. I think sometimes being yourself is radical.”

“Had to find another beautiful black woman,” he explained. “I see someone like me living their truth and not being trapped by what society says. I think that was the most important for me as a child.”
