Wet Feet: A band with a million streams and only two songs

Wet Feet

The teen classic Mean Girls has provided plenty of inspiration for pop stars like Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, and most recently, the Isle of Wight duo Wet Leg.

Thanks to Ariana Grande, the following video pays homage to the film and includes a link to Taylor Swift’s look, What You Made Me Do. In Wet Leg’s hit debut single, Chaise Longue, singer Rhian Teasdale is heard saying. Would you like us to ask someone to smear your muffins?”

There’s a lean-to the point where Lindsay Lohan’s character, Cady. Receives an angry conversation from an athlete as she walks into the school cafeteria. “I thought we were just having fun,” Ryan said as he talked about the current commotion about the band.

For many, recliners arrived with a bang earlier this summer. Full of staccato lyrics, guitar percussion, and videos celebrating braids and hoods.

But – for now – it’s one of only two songs the band has made available for streaming (the other being Wet Dream).

However, they have received support from Jack Saunders Radio 1, appeared on the Jools Holland live music show, and were named one of the cast members on Vevo DSCVR for 2022. “It’s all a bit surreal right now,” Ryan told Radio 1 Newsbeat.”I think I have no words because it was so amazing.”

Wet Feet consists of Ryan and his best half, Hester Chambers, who grew up on the Isle of Wight. “There are so many beaches and life goes slower,” Ryan said. “Getting off the ferry on the island is like getting off a passenger.”

The two have been friends for a decade since college and decided to start a band in 2018. Rhian had previously tried to go solo but said he was too lonely on tour and cried before concerts.

“I don’t want to do it anymore. But I have a few more shows booked, so I asked Hestor if he’d be up on stage to finish a lot of shows. They love hanging out on and offstage, playing guitar together – and that’s the pair that lasts.
