The TV personality seeks help managing his health as he hopes for a “big comeback” in his career.
Wendy Williams took steps to restore her health.
“She is taking time off to fetish on her health and well-being as she prepares for a major comeback for the next stage of her career with The Wendy Experience Podcast,” reads her publicist Sean Zanotti in a press release. “A team treats Miss Williams with some of the best doctors in the world. We ask for your prayers also good wishes at this time.”
Earlier this year, Williams’ ongoing health issues prevented her from returning as host of The Wendy Williams Show. Which was twice rescheduled before Leah Remini stepped in as guest host. Other stars, including Michael Rapaport, Whitney Cummings and Jerry Springer, were tapped to do the same.
Sherri Shepherd has proven to be a fan favourite among restaurateurs, even posting her best season ranking during her first stint last November. It was then announced that the 54-year-old had been given a talk show titled Sherri. Which would take over Williams’ programming time slot. It ended Williams’ show after more than a decade on the air.
“He understands why this decision was made from a business point of view. Howard Bragman, a spokesman for Williams, said in a statement in February. “Debmar-Mercury reassured him that by then, he would be back on television if his health reached a point. Where he could host again and if he wanted to host again.” He had tested positive at the time and had one case of A.
COVID-19 broke through amid other ongoing health complications related to his Graves’ disease.
Appearing on Good Morning America in March, Williams insisted she was “absolutely sane” following speculation about her health.
“When people want to control their accounts, they say anything, even that to me,” he said.
