Johannesburg: For Mitsubishi Motors, the new Eclipse Cross not only plays into the competitiveness of its SUV series but is also a market segment with its sleek, sporty design and SUV capabilities. Eclipse Cross makes an attractive value proposition to customers given the quality and value it offers.
“With dynamic performance, energetic design, and state-of-the-art technology, the new Eclipse Cross is designed to spark passion. This will inspire customers to be bold and extraordinary,” said Nick Campbell, General Manager of Mitsubishi Motors South Africa (MMSA).
Key features of the new Eclipse Cross lineup include a striking new exterior design, a comprehensive list of comfort features, increased practicality, proven performance, impressive safety performance, improved technology and connectivity, and better value for money.
The lifestyle of the new model expresses sporty and fresh style, while the sharply modeled characteristic lines make a bold statement on the road. The design strikes a balance between the sporty coupé shape and the practicality, space, and comfort of an SUV. Not only does it give Eclipse Cross an adventurous character, but it also creates an undeniable sense of sophistication.
With an increase in 140 mm, the Eclipse Cross evolves from muscular and agile to slim and athletic. In addition, Mitsubishi’s dynamic shield concept provides an expressive, active front, while new details such as dual oval headlights contribute to a specific high-tech image.
The rear has evolved from its previous form and the split rear door window has been replaced with a sharp hexagonal design with a piece of glass. The back of the trunk has also changed style and is more sporty. The taillights now have a distinctive three-dimensional Y-shaped design and extend elegantly up and inwards following the shape of the exterior of the rear door glass.
