Tata Digital, the digital arm of the Tata Group, is reportedly preparing to launch stock trading and mutual fund investment offerings on its super app Tata Neu.
This move is aimed at taking on investment tech platforms like Zerodha and Groww. Tata Digital has been working on these offerings for about a year, and the new features are expected to be launched over the next two to three months under its financial services arm, Tata Fintech Private Ltd. Tata Digital acquired a stock broking license from the market regulator in September 2022 and plans to enter the wealthtech space, competing with existing players in the market.
Tata Digital to Compete with Zerodha and Groww with Wealthtech Offerings on Tata Neu App
Tata Digital, the digital arm of the Tata Group, is gearing up to launch stock trading and mutual fund investment features on its super app Tata Neu. The move is aimed at competing with investment tech platforms like Zerodha and Groww. Tata Digital obtained a stock broking license in September 2022 but deferred its plans to launch investment products as it wanted to strengthen other verticals on the Tata Neu app. Tata Neu currently offers fintech services like co-branded credit cards, BNPL options, digital gold investments, and personal loans. The new wealthtech offerings are expected to be launched in the next two to three months.
