Ambitio, an AI-based global admissions startup focused on helping students pursue higher education abroad, has successfully secured Rs 1.55 crore in a pre-seed funding round.

Founded by IIT BHU graduates Dirghayu Kaushik, Vikrant Shivalik, and Vaibhav Tyagi, Ambitio is on a mission to develop India’s first AI admissions platform. The platform, named Ambitio AI Copilot, assists applicants in identifying suitable courses and creating compelling essays and Statements of Purpose (SOPs).
Access to Extensive Database:
Ambitio claims to have access to a database of over 2 million admits, leveraging a low-touch approach to build a comprehensive global admissions platform. The startup aims to serve as intelligent digital advisors to students throughout their admissions journey, providing personalized advice based on decentralized information and the emergence of Learning Language Models (LLMs).
Unique AI+Mentor Approach:
Ambitio employs a unique AI+Mentor approach, combining artificial intelligence with in-house admission experts to guide applicants in building strong profiles and crafting outstanding applications. The goal is to help applicants secure admission into their dream schools.
Investor Perspective:
Prateek Agarwal, Investments Lead at First Cheque, expressed confidence in Ambitio’s position to leverage Gen-AI capabilities. He sees the startup’s product-led approach as a significant opportunity to develop a global admissions product.
