Snoop Dogg thought about remastering his Doggystyle album

Doggystyle album

Snoop Dogg considered remastering his debut album Doggystyle but ultimately decided against it.

Snoop Dogg The Gin and Juice rapper said on the latest episode of the Full Send Podcast that he considered following Taylor Swift’s lead and re-recording his old albums.

“She’s not an old artist at all; she’s quite new. What exactly did she do? She had her album remastered, “Snoop got started. “Why? Snoop Dogg Because she wasn’t making any money from the (original) album. I had planned to remaster my album. Years ago, my son told me, ‘You should just remaster Doggystyle pops, f**k all that.’ Just remaster it; you don’t have to worry about anything else.'”

However, the hip-hop star determined that he would not be able to “recapture” the feeling of his debut in 1993.

“I didn’t want to go that route (remastering) because you can’t remaster Doggystyle like you can R&B songs. That st was a sensation; that st was a fleeting moment. You can’t get that back, “He elaborated.

In February, Snoop acquired his old record label, Death Row Records, and all of the company’s releases will be Non-Fungible Token (NFTs).

On the podcast, he stated that he wanted to convert his music into NFTs so that fans could own, trade, and profit from his songs rather than copies of them. “My fans came to support me, and I charged them for everything. T-shirts, concerts, and all that, but no s**t back. You’re not sitting correctly, “He stated.
