Former Beatles drummer diagnosed with COVID in early October
The Ringo Starr 82-year-old former Beatles drummer announced on Twitter on Thursday. That he was cancelling the final show of his North American tour.
Starr was forced to cancel concerts at Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Lethbridge, Abbotsford, Penticton, Canada and Mystic Lake Casino in Minnesota after testing positive for COVID for the first time.
A spokesperson said in October 3: “It was confirmed today. That Ringo has Covid and the tour will be postpon until Ringo recovers. Ringo hopes to move on as soon as possible and recover at home.
The rep added to news that Starr “is starting to feel better now.”
After a break, Starr said Monday he had recovered from the virus. She included a post on Instagram along with a photo of herself smiling while displaying a peace sign and wearing a necklace declaring. She was negative for COVID: “See you Tuesday 11th Portland-Wednesday in seattle i am negative peace and I love everyone thank you news for waiting.”
He told USA Today in March 2021, “I got both and I feel great.”Reynold Panettieri, a professor of medicine and pulmonologist at Rutgers University’s Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine. Previously told nethat “the data really don’t indicate a more susceptible group” to the virus.
He added: “But it makes sense that patients with chronic disease or with weakened immune systems are more susceptible. It’s hard to generalize, but you can still get protection from vaccines and have milder disease. The CDC report shows no cohort in the elderly or with certain associated infections.”
