“Maddie Ziegler completely trust her advice,” said the influencer, dancer. And designer of her musician boyfriend as she filled PEOPLE with all the details about her latest collection with Fabletics.
Maddie Ziegler doesn’t like asking for too much advice when designing sports-inspired tracks for her Fabletics collection. Still, she does occasionally ask her creative friend Eddie Benjamin for information.
“I showed it to my boyfriend because he’s very creative. And he’s helped me design a few things before,” said the 19-year-old from PEOPLE as she exclusively launched her fifth collection. “But other than that, I keep it to myself.
Sometimes too many opinions annoy me.”
Ziegler started dating the 21-year-old Australian musician in 2019 after joining his DMs on social media and inviting him to meet in Los Angeles. The pair then went public in March 2020. This isn’t the first time the singer-dancer has approached her boyfriend for design advice on the Active clothing line.
I thought it was for the previous collection, but he came to the meeting with me because we were dating, and then I started asking, “What do you think?” And he began to come up with so many ideas, which was terrific. His collection reminds him of the Dune movies he associates with his design ideas.
“I felt like it was a huge inspiration, just structurally, and I liked the tone too. Ziegler said of the film’s inspiration. “On the other hand, I wanted to do a lot of interstellar vibes. So there’s a lot of starry night, extraterrestrial elements, aliens, as well as a mix of earth sands, textures, and the like. “
