Lindsay Lohan gave fans an early Christmas present…and it was so cute!
The 36-year-old Mean Girls star shot a cover of Jingle Bell Rock, which is featured in a new trailer for Netflix’s upcoming holiday film Falling for Christmas. Which is available to pre-order on all music streaming platforms.
“Get your [emoji recorder] out because yes, that’s Lindsay Lohan singing Jingle Bell Rock in the Falling For Christmas trailer! And as a holiday treat, a cover of Lindsay’s iconic song will be available to stream on November 4th!” Netflix announced on Twitter on Friday. Her loyal fans will recognize the holiday classic as a nod to the iconic scene in 2004’s Mean Girls. Where she put on a sexy talent show alongside co-stars Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried and Lacey Chabert.
The on-screen show was nearly interrupted when the CD player went blank until Lohan’s Cady Heron led her friends and the whole school to a song.
Lohan’s latest cover, featured in Friday’s trailer for her long-awaited return to acting in Falling for Christmas, also marks her return to music.
In Falling for Christmas, “a spoiled, newly engaged hotel heir (Lohan) has a skiing accident. Suffers from total amnesia, and finds herself in the care of a handsome blue-collar owner (Chord Overstreet) and his precocious daughter again before Christmas. a plot synopsis from Netflix.
Lohan previously told The Hollywood Reporter that her return to acting was “like riding a bicycle,” adding, “It’s just inside of me. It’s a part of me. Making movies, playing characters gives me a lot of joy, being able to share stories with people. people. Taking people with me on this journey is a blessing.”
Lohan’s “Jingle Bell Rock” will be out on November 4th and is available for pre-order now. Falling for Christmas premieres on Netflix on November 10.
