Kate Middleton’s latest look includes modern details that Princess Diana loves.
It’s all about the collar.
Name something sweeter than Kate Middleton baking cupcakes with her kids.
Kate Middleton’s latest look Thanks to the platinum jubilee, we’ve seen a lot from Middleton in the past week, which marked the 1970s on the Queen’s throne. Of course, her attire is also formal: She wears, among other things, a bright yellow dress with a belt, which immediately lifts the mood, and a pure white dress with a blazer, which T. is elegant. But what we probably liked the most because Middleton’s back kit consisted of sturdy light-colored jeans and a cute red blouse with a retail print, which she tucked into her jeans. There’s so much to love about this perfect summer top – the motif! That sleeve! – but the real highlight is the Peter Pan collar.

Beautiful collars like the Duchess’s have been popping up in celebrity circles lately, with Hillary Duff and Emma Roberts showing an association for the big, intricate details that make a plain top a full statement. The collar looks the right amount of readiness and femininity without feeling overwhelming.
But this elegant neckline is nothing new: Middleton herself has drawn to it over the years. Middleton’s late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, was a massive fan of the oversized collar and regularly made it the focal point of her outfits.
