Her parents, Ann and Keith Froggatt, transitioned from running a corner shop to managing a rare-breed sheep farm near Whitby. Froggatt’s television debut came in 1996 with a role in the long-standing ITV drama “The Bill.” Shortly after, she landed the role of Zoe Tattersall, a teenage mother, in the popular soap opera “Coronation Street,” where she stayed until 1998.

In 2003, she starred in the leading role of the controversial drama “Danielle Cable: Eyewitness,” based on a true story of a teenage girl who witnessed her boyfriend’s murder in a road rage attack. Her performance earned the drama a BAFTA TV Award nomination for Best Single Drama.

Her versatility as an actress was showcased in various roles over the years. In 2006, Froggatt played Angelique Mahy in the ITV mini-series “Island at War,” depicting the German occupation of the Channel Islands during World War II. In 2017, Froggatt starred as Laura Neilson in the ITV/Sundance drama series “Liar,” a role that showcased her range as an actress. She played a schoolteacher who accuses a respected surgeon of rape, leading to a gripping and intense storyline.

On the stage, Froggatt has also impressed audiences. In 2011, she appeared in John Donnelly’s play “The Knowledge” at the Bush Theatre in West London.
