- Comedian Fuquan Johnson was one of three people who died of a suspected high dose at a party in Los Angeles, authorities said Monday.
Police officer Mike Lopez said three people were Fuquan Johnson pronounced dead on the spot in the early hours of Saturday in the Venice district, and a fourth was taken to hospital in critical condition. The dead were Johnson, 43, from Los Angeles; Enrico Colangeli, 48, of Medford, Massachusetts; and Natalie Williamson, 33, of Los Angeles, reported by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.
Initial investigations Fuquan Johnson found all three died of an overdose, Lopez said.
After the autopsy, the coroner will determine and reveal the official cause of death. Authorities would not identify the person being hospitalized. Johnson has been a famous comedy club in Southern California for years, writing for the online show Comedy Parlor Live: Quarantine Edition.
Fellow comedians paid tribute to him on social media as information about his death spread. “Your energy will light up the room,” wrote Damien Dante Wayans on Instagram. “Everyone loves Fu!” Some media reports that Collangeli is also a comedian.
