Chicago entrepreneur Early Walker built a single tow truck into one of the largest towing companies in Illinois before walking away with a private equity exit that made him a self-made millionaire. Now he’s channeling that success into a new mission: helping other small business owners find their own version of it.
Building W&W Towing From the Ground Up
Walker founded W&W Towing in 2013, growing it to nearly $300,000 in annual revenue by its second year. His strategy, which he calls the “$40 Holla” approach, centered on affordable pricing and high volume rather than maximizing profit per transaction. That focus on accessibility and consistency, rather than being the cheapest or flashiest option, built a loyal customer base and an expansion-fueling waitlist.
Reflecting on his path to success, Walker emphasized that consistency, not one big breakthrough moment, drives lasting results. Small, repeated actions, such as an extra sales call or a newly learned skill, compound over time into major growth.
Taking the Playbook on the Road
Walker has since launched No Business Left Behind, an initiative offering mentorship, capital access, and operational support to small business owners in underserved communities. The program addresses what Walker sees as the three biggest obstacles to scaling: owners who never build systems beyond themselves, weak marketing, and poor cash flow management.
To spread that message further, Walker is running a 10-city tour bringing hands-on business education, covering leadership, branding, marketing, and financial literacy, directly to communities that need it. Attendees can expect practical strategies they can apply immediately. Updates on tour stops are shared through Walker’s social media at @MrEarlyWalker.
