Florence Welch reflects on her decision to come to her senses eight years ago.
In a new interview with Munro Bergdorf on the Spotify Original podcast model, The Way We Are. the frontman of Florence and the Machine talks about realizing that drinking was a problem for him around the release of Ceremonial 2011 and making the decision to stop drinking.
“When it comes to the public spotlight, I think being sober is the best thing I’ve ever done. The 35-year-old British singer-songwriter said on the podcast. “It take me a long time to come to terms with the fact that I have a drinking problem because I am one of those all-or-nothing drinkers,” says Welch Zu Bergdorf, 34. “If I like to drink, I can. I don’t control it, and when I control my drink, I don’t enjoy it. So it woke me up.”
“During the Lung era, it was okay to be a mess because that’s just the way it is.
