Notably, James achieved this at the age of eighteen, which made him a formidable young entrepreneur. And like his colleagues I spoke to, it’s great to have the prospect of someone entering the startup world with fresh eyes and enthusiasm.

Mary Justin: First, a little background.

James Bender: Stiddle was Create in the San Francisco Bay Area with our Silicon Valley and San Francisco teams. I founded Stiddle including my co-founder Charis Zhang in March 2020 at the start of COVID-19.

Jüten: What problem did you solve?

Bender: Stiddle breaks the accessibility and affordability of advertising for small businesses to advertise. And sell online against the more considerable competition at a lower price.

Jüten: Who are your customers, and how do you find them?

Bender: Our customers are corner stores, restaurants, retail, e-commerce, and marketing agencies.

Jüten: How have previous projects and experiences helped this new project?

Bender: At the age of fifteen, I started a marketing agency in San Francisco, helping small, local, also online businesses with their online marketing, promotion, and website development. As the size grew, I switched to working with a slightly bigger company with a bigger budget. Shortly after, I quickly realized that many small companies I helped develop could no longer afford my services. This is why I started Stiddle as an alternative for small business owners to sell and advertise online with minimal technical knowledge and budget.
