TOPLINE comedian Dave Chapel was assaulted on stage by one of the audience members. While performing a standout special for Netflix, accused of transphobia at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on Tuesday night.
Due to the Los Angeles Police Department, a man from the audience at the Chappelle show jumped onto the stage and bumped into the comedian as he was about to leave, News reported.
Security forces intervened and arrested the attacker.
A video of the alleged happening shared on social media shows a man throwing himself at Chappelle while speaking into a microphone.
The suspect was take to hospital with minor injuries and was found to have a copy of the gun throwing the built-in knife.
Stand-up comedian Chris Rock, who also stars in the show. Reportedly took the stage and jokingly asked if the attacker was Will Smith about his famous stroke at this year’s Oscars.
