De Adentro Pa Afuera, the Colombian star’s third studio album with Camilo Cabello. Grupo Firme and others, has now been released.
For Camilo, the anticipation of the birth of his first baby inspired him in a way he had never done before. Now, having given birth to her daughter Indigo in April, she is ready to share those feelings with her fans.
Colombian star De Adentro Pa Afuera, ‘outside in’, released his third studio album on Tuesday.
To mark the occasion, Camilo spoke to news about the inspiration behind the album. How he became new parents with his wife Evaluna Montaner and more.
“We were waiting for my little girl Indigo to arrive and have just closed our house for the creative process of waiting for the baby to arrive. In the same energy I locked myself in the studio I had built in my home to liven up through my songs all the feelings I had begun to feel because of the arrival of my baby. It was very exciting for me.”
He continued, “It was a process of celebrating a lot of feelings I didn’t know I could experience. It was an exploration of many sides of my identity. That I hadn’t explored before this album, so it was quite interesting.”
As Camilo knows, his parents once warned him: “I will truly know my heart if I have my first baby.”
“He is an extension of who we are. It’s a huge responsibility that comes with beautiful things and a lot of movement in it,” he said. Through this album, Camilo is happy to share that insight.
The collection of 11 tracks features various collaborations that demonstrate Camilo’s willingness to explore new sounds and take risks. This album exudes a sense of diversity from the band’s explorations with local Mexican group Grupo Firme in “Alaska” to collaborations with pop princesses Camilo Cabello and Nicki Nicole. The album also features songs featuring Myke Towers, Alejandro Sanz and Montaner, 25, on “Indigo”.
