Ayesha Curry admitted that it took her “so long” to realize that her fitness journey would not be the same as that of her husband, NBA player Stephen Curry.

Ayesha Curry is speaking out about what she’s discover on her fitness journey.

The chef and cookbook author, 33, discussed how she could finally focus on her health. After having three children — son Canon, 4, and daughters Ryan, 7, and Riley, 10 — on the Rachael Ray Show. However, she admit that the journey was difficult at first. Admitting that she tried to change her workout routines to keep up with her.

“One of the biggest hindrances was that I was competing in my own weird, twist way with my very athletic husband and thinking I need to do everything he was doing to find my balance and stay fit,” the mother of three explaine.

“It took me a long time to realize that, no, my fitness journey and plan will look like that for me. And it’s less high-intensity workouts for me, and I’m not doing the diet thing,” Curry added. “It’s living that 80/20 life and making sure that I’m enjoying life’s celebratory moments and then, in between, making healthier choices.

Curry spoke to news last month about starting 2023 with great health and fitness goals and how she plans to stay on top of them.

She admitted she is more of a “monthly resolution type of girl” regarding traditional New Year’s resolutions. She claims it makes it easier for her to keep track of her small victories throughout the year.

“I’ve been on a health journey for the past three years,” Curry explained at the time. “I like to manifest things, write them down, and set intentions and goals. I’m obsessed with it, and I’ve discover that being able to see things works well for me.”
