Key Sentence:
- People have played bingo for at least a century, but sometimes.
- It’s the most conventional ideas that work best in modern environments. Join Live Play Mobile, a social gaming platform that believes they are reinventing popular games.
“They see this as the future of Play Mobile Bingo mobile content,” said Stuart Lewis-Smith, CEO and founder of the company. “It’s a convergence of social gaming, live streaming, and TV channels that no one else does.”
Ensuring this interaction is not an achievement. Live Play Mobile broadcasts live content 24 hours a day with hosts who have to call a number at every match. Interact Play Mobile Bingo with players in real-time, and provide entertainment. The game is free to play – all players need is the Live Play app on their smartphone and enough connectivity to stream the game.
After two decades in the gaming industry, Lewis-Smith launched Live Play Mobile. Initially in online gambling, but recently also in social gaming, where money is exchanged without money. “My vision for this business is to add real human interaction to players’ lives while playing,” he explained.
“This is an opportunity to build something social.”
The idea was to create something like a traditional bingo hall experience – with real people calling numbers and lots of flirting between players. “So many people are left at home without human interaction,” says Lewis-Smith. “Playing our game has been a significant experience for many of them.”
The goal is fun, he said. Players pay no bets or entry fees to the game. And they don’t win cash prizes when their numbers grow despite receiving in-game currency that they can spend while playing the game.
The freemium business model is well known in the mobile gaming industry. Offering apps and games for free encourages more people to sign up and participate. Live Play Mobile then monetizes through in-app purchases – for example, players can spend money on each other’s gifts.
However, the company has to make a lot of money – running live shows around the clock is a very different proposition than simply offering games that. Once downloaded, require no administration at all. “It’s like trying to run a game company at the same time as CNN,” Lewis-Smith said.
