Beauty products cover a prominent portion of the lifestyle industry today. Every individual, irrespective of their gender, uses at least one such product in their daily life. A mistake often made by people is that they try to “fix” their faces using makeup products. Many brands promote their products with the tagline of rectifying a person’s facial features. These advertisements influence people and make them believe that in order to fit into the society, they need to make themselves look “perfect”. Such stereotypical beauty standards should definitely be discouraged and people should rather be encouraged to admire themselves the way they are.
While we do not applaud such promotions, we should also keep in mind that people get joy out of occasional beauty sessions and if showcased in the right manner, beauty products are not that bad. Moreover, apart from makeup, there are products like moisturisers and serums that actually benefit the skin by providing the required nutrition. Natalie Romo is one such individual who is on a mission to deliver beauty products while breaking the incorrect notions. Natalie is an experienced professional in multiple fields. After high school, she got admitted to Regency Beauty Institute, a cosmetology institute in Arizona. Then, she went on to become a hairstylist, a performer and a beauty entrepreneur.
Her entrepreneurial journey began last year with her company NRomo Beauty. According to her, she aims to fill the void in the lip care market. To do so, the first product launched under NRomo Beauty is a lip serum. In an interview, she said that she took inspiration from the concept of face serums and looking at the lack of lip care products, she decided to create a custom formula that helps hydrate dry cracked lips and prevents fine lines. Not only that, Natalie plans on releasing a line of lip care products like lip scrubs, lip balms and lip glosses under NRomo Beauty lip care section. She has been actively involved with her team, a chemist and a manufacturer to curate the compositions of her products and make sure that they provide all the goodness they promise.
At the cosmetology school, Natalie learnt the importance of self-care and when she worked as a hairstylist at Tony&Guy, she felt the satisfaction of helping her customers and giving them the desired look. She has also been a dancer in music videos for Jennifer Lopez and Ariana Grande. Natalie says that being a part of The Fast and Furious 7 movie inspired her to join acting classes. During the pandemic, she was unable to meet her manufacturers which caused some trouble but Natalie took up this time to reflect on herself and emerge victorious.
